Nirav Soni, PhD

Clinical Psychologist & Psychoanalyst

My style as a therapist is open, engaged, and attentive. I specialize in working with adults and adolescents experiencing issues related to mood, anxiety, relationships, and the transition to fatherhood/parenthood. I offer insight-oriented therapy to help you deepen your understanding of yourself, relate more authentically to the people around you, and improve your sense of agency and overall wellbeing. I will also work with you to help you build the skills to manage overwhelming emotions, relieve distress, and achieve your goals. I particularly enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds, and I am deeply committed to providing a safe environment where you can explore the full possibility of your unique identity. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

In addition to short-term, focused therapy, I offer psychoanalysis for those seeking an intensive, exploratory treatment. Psychoanalysis provides an opportunity to develop a profound understanding of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that shape our lives, but that often operate outside of our awareness. Through psychoanalysis, we gain insight into unresolved conflicts and achieve lasting and meaningful growth.
