Melissa Greenberg, PsyD will lead this consultation group to discuss clinical and practical considerations for expectant therapists (open to birthing and non-birthing persons). Each session will have a theme in addition to time set aside for open discussion and questions.
Session 1: Disclosing to colleagues & patients (considering how and when to share the news)
Session 2: Anticipating reactions (discussing a wide range of possible responses to your news, how you might answer questions that people ask you)
Session 3: Countertransference (considering feelings that may come up for you in sharing the news and preparing for leave, especially with regard to more sensitive patients/cases)
Session 4: Planning for leave & return (considering how long to take, how you communicate your plan for leave, how to make and communicate a plan for your return)
